Colleges are traditionally created in universities to form smaller communities within a large student population.
Every college represents a group of students who are either in the same program, same faculty, or even same residence.
It helps create a smaller community within a bigger university and provides a place for students to study, meet other students in their program, hang out, participate in smaller college activities, and much more.
York University has 9 colleges and every student is assigned to a college based on their program of study:
- Bethune College
