Your Community Grocer has everything you need for a perfect meal preparation, be it produce, meat, condiments, and so on.

Your Community Grocer is a local grocery store conveniently located in the little mall just south of York University village at 45 Four Winds Drive.

How to get there:

• Walk: 10-15 min south of Keele campus (depending where on campus you are located)
• Bus: 5 min ride south on bus 106 (Sentinel Road at Fountainhead Road stop)

2. Walmart

Walmart (Toronto Downsview Supercentre) is the largest grocery store near York University.

It has everything you need on the groceries side and also has large clothing, electronics, and home items sections.

In addition, Walmart Pharmacy is also available at this location.

It is also equipped with Walmart Pickup section, so you can order your groceries online and simply pick them up from the store.

Walmart is located on the east side south of Keele and Finch intersection at 3757 Keele Street.

• Walk: 30 min south east from Keele campus
• Bus: 10 min ride south on bus 41 (Keele Street at Broadoaks Drive)

Vito’s No Frills is another large grocery store near York University.

It’s significantly smaller that Walmart as it only sells groceries, but has a great variety of products.

No Frills is located on the east side south of Keele and Finch intersection at 3685 Keele Street (south of Walmart).

How to get there:

• Walk: 35 min south east from Keele campus
• Bus: 12 min ride south on bus 41 (Keele Street at St Regis Crescent)
• Subway: 1 station ride south to Finch West station and 12 min walk

4. Real Canadian Superstore

The Real Canadian Superstore is also a large grocery store near York University.

It’s about the same size as Walmart with variety of products.

This location also has a Loblaw Pharmacy, as well as it’s equipped with PC Express pickup which allows you to order your groceries online and pick up in store.

In addition, they offer a 10% discount for students every Tuesday (with valid student ID)

Real Canadian Superstore is located on the south west corner of Dufferin and Steeles intersection at 51 Gerry Fitzgerald Drive.

How to get there:

• Walk: 40 min first north on Keele to Steeles, and then east on Steeles to Dufferin
• Bus: 10 min ride east on bus 60 (Steeles Avenue at Gerry Fitzgerald Drive stop)

5. Istanbul Fine Foods

Istanbul Fine Foods is a small Turkish grocery store near York University.

The store has its own bakery and they focus on bakery products and Halal meat, as well as other groceries.

They also have online shopping with delivery in the nearby area.

Istanbul Fine Foods is located on the east side south of Keele and Finch intersection at 3715 Keele Street (between Walmart and No Frills).
